Mr. Koustov received his law degree in 2008 from the University of Saskatchewan.  

He articled and practiced with a top tier law firm in Saskatchewan from 2008-2013.

He moved to Calgary in 2014, and his practice has been focused criminal defence, family law, and real estate law. He has extensive trial experience in all court levels in Alberta. He has successfully defended clients charged with serious drug trafficking charges as well as major sexual assaults. He has successfully argued various pre-trial applications to allow certain examinations of Crown witnesses, excluding key Crown evidence, as well as sensitive production orders. He has argued hundreds of bail hearings, sentencing hearings, child and spousal support applications. He has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting separation and nuptial agreements and has worked on multimillion dollar real estate deals.
