Allan Kay

Allan Kay is a senior lawyer at Kay Mahoney Koustov Law. Mr. Kay began his legal career in 1974 in Brooks, AB, and has dedicated his entire career to helping people from all corners of Alberta in both criminal and civil litigation. Mr. Kay has litigated thousands of cases throughout his 46 year career, and continues to be a ferocious advocate on behalf of his clients. Since the implementation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms in 1982, Mr. Kay has been at the forefront of Charter based litigation in Alberta, winning trials and setting judicial precedent with respect to how the Charter applies to regular Canadians and government officials. Mr. Kay’s work has undoubtedly shaped the development of the law of search and seizure, as well as impaired driving laws, in Alberta. Mr. Kay has been a strong advocate of individual rights and has been a vocal proponent for a fair and just society in Alberta.
